It can also be used alone.

Apply once a day (in the morning) to clean eyelashes, as you would apply mascara.
It will appear white immediately after application, but will gradually become transparent.
If you want a natural look, you can use this product alone.
If using as a mascara primer, apply your regular mascara after this product has turned transparent.
